Learn best practices while networking with 1,000 diversity practitioners and line leaders.

"Inclusive Leadership"

Leadership makes a difference -- it inspires, motivates, and creates vision.  Management enforces existing structure – relegated to overseeing policies and procedures.  Management is necessary, but it lacks the vision to create a truly inclusive environment that elicits trust and confidence to motivate everyone to pursue individual and organizational goals.  Inclusive leaders accomplish this with integrity and trust that connects across cultural differences.

As organizations become more diverse and global in scope, so too must the competencies of their leaders.  To survive, organizations must develop inclusive leaders equipped to motivate, inspire, and lead the most diverse workforce in the history of the world.

In this session you will build leadership skills necessary to:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, and catalyst for change.
  • Effectively influence and leverage D & I at all levels within the organization.
  • Why a Leadership-based approach to D&I is more effective than a management-based approach.
  • Make connections between D&I ideas and application.
  • Recognize D&I drivers related to marketplace expansion, innovation, and overall business objectives.
  • Understand and leverage your position, strategic relationships and privilege to create inclusive environments that support organizational goals.

Al has also served on the advisory board for the Institute for seven years.  This year's Summit will feature life-changing keynote speakers including, Derrick N. Ashong, Caroline Casey, Anand Giridharadas, and Charles Ogletree. For more information or to register call 781.402.5555 or visit
